GOATed
GOATed means being the greatest — it’s the verb form of GOAT, the acronym for “Greatest Of All Time.” Calling something or someone “goated” is high praise (“this game is goated”).
Where GOAT came from
GOAT — “Greatest Of All Time” — grew out of sports and hip-hop. The phrasing is often linked to Muhammad Ali (whose wife set up a company called G.O.A.T. Inc.) and to LL Cool J’s 2000 album G.O.A.T. It became shorthand for the very best in any field, and the 🐐 goat emoji became its symbol.
“Goated” is the verbified, Gen Z form — boosted by gaming and stan culture — meaning “established as one of the greatest.”
What it means and how it's used
“He’s goated at this game,” “that album is goated,” “goated with the sauce” (exceptionally skilled). It’s pure praise, applied to people, games, food — anything excellent.
