Station maintenance record. Every change to the archive, logged in the order it happened.
Day 195 — The Genetics Wing opens
The Splice Chamber is operational: any two specimens can now be cross-bred into a stable hybrid with its own name, class and downloadable card. Ten new specimens catalogued (096–105), including Crash Out, That’s AI and Chopped. The Emoji Dialect wing and Reverse Lookup instrument are live. Field Journals issued to all researchers.
Day 188 — The Observatory
The station can now see itself. A full 4D star-map of every wing, navigable by drag and zoom. Press M from anywhere. Four content pillars added: the calm parents’ guide, brainrot explainer, generational comparison, and the classification quiz.
Day 181 — Depth engine online
Installed the containment HUD, foreground occlusion glass, cursor torch, scroll-depth fog and warp transitions. Doc Vanta was given permission to speak to visitors. He has not stopped since.
Day 174 — Archive founded
First 27 specimens catalogued. The taxonomy, ecosystem, decoder and graveyard established. Specimen 067 sealed in its own containment world, for everyone’s safety.
What’s next
Ongoing: continuous specimen intake as new organisms emerge. The archive updates as language does — which is to say, constantly, and without warning.
